Attention apartment dwellers, dorm dwellers, frequent movers, renters, and constant re-arrangers: Ikea’s latest collection is made for folks on the go. Have a look at a few of our favorite pieces, just out this week, designed for flexible living and easier moves.

The same great-looking legs cropped up recently in two different Paris projects on Remodelista: a starter apartment and Merci’s new showcase residence. Intriguingly, these legs are made of powder-coated steel and designed to turn just about any thin, flat surface into a readymade table. We had to find out more.

The Sightings

Above: In a bedroom for a medical student who shares An Enviable Starter Apartment with her musician brother, designer Marianne Evennou included a wall-mounted desk from Tiptoe.

The Paris company was founded in 2015 by two friends with a mission to create durable, modular furniture—the metal parts are manufactured by a factory near Chamonix, a third-generation business that belongs to the family of one of Tiptoe’s co-owners. The solid oak Wall Shelves with steel brackets are also from Tiptoe.

The owners of Tiptoe are environmentally minded: they use responsibly sourced materials and all of their pieces are designed for easy assembly, deconstruction, repair, and recycling.
