10 Easy Pieces: Bedding in Shirting Stripes
by Alexa Hotz
The stripes gathered here owe more to the shirtmaker than to traditional mattress ticking. Think of Charvet, the Paris institution founded in 1838, and its near-infinite variations on cotton shirting: pencil lines, balanced bands, and unexpected combinations of color. Today’s bedding makers have adapted that vocabulary to crisp cotton percale. Here, 10 sets with the orderly appeal of a well-made shirt.

Remodelista Reconnaissance: A Funky Dutch Light in a Designer’s Apartment
by Annie Quigley
So much of the designer Saba Ghorbanalinejad’s Paris apartment is reminiscent of works by icons. The modular vanity mirror is very Le Corbu. The swivel-out drawers are pure Eileen Gray. And the kitchen, with its arched, midcentury light fixture, feels like a nod, too. Where to buy one similar? We unearth some options:
The Sighting
Above: The kitchen in question. The light, Alexa reports, is a vintage Space Age Double Arc Mushroom Wall Lamp by Dutch manufacturer Dijkstra.
